Tyler and I are still the same lame ol' couple--school and work are our lives, but we do fit in a little bit of fun here and there! I'm in my second year of teaching crazy 3rd graders, and boy do I have a challenging class this year!!! It's been rough, REALLY rough. I've had no voice ever since the school year started and come home EXHAUSTED everyday. Tyler is actually scared to be around me sometimes. But, I'm getting through it one day at a time!
The wedding plans have been coming along pretty good! The countdown is 231 days from now! Wooohooo! So far, we have the big things booked like the reception, ceremony, caterer, and photographer. The only thing that has been bringing me down is getting my dress! I never thought this would be so hard! I know it's mainly just me being indecisive, but I can't help it! I'm giving myself until the end of this month, and if I don't find THE ONE, then I think I'm going to seriously walk down the aisle in jeans and a t-shirt.
Here are the things that have made us smile during the end of spring/summertime....
Some of my 3rd graders from last year during our end of the year picnic...THEY WERE THE BEST!!! I almost cried when I saw them as fourth graders on the first day of school. I REALLY miss them!

So, Tyler left for Omaha at the end of May to do the coursework portion for his med tech degree. IT SUCKED!!! Being away from your loved one is not fun at all--especially when he cooks you delicious dinner every night. When he left, I became an avid Tuna Helper and Cup-O-Noodle eater, and I actually lost several pounds believe it or not! They should make that a new diet!
Anyway, I went to go visit Ty in Omaha a couple times during the summer and we discovered that Omaha has the BEST ZOO ever! It was SO FUN! I LOVE THE ZOO! Makes Omaha not so bad.
We always have fun over Memorial Day weekend! We went up to the lake in Moberly this year and spent some time with the young fam! Always a good time--even though I SUCK at playing washers! I can't help that I'm from the city and had never played washers before I met my red-neck boyfriend!!!
Although I did prosper with cousin Jeff on my team!!! Woooo! He is a PRO!
Of course we cheered on our ROYALS over the summer. They didn't prosper much, of course, but we still LOVE them! I can't wait for our new stadium to open up! Maybe that will magically make us a winning team???

I graduated with my MASTERS!!! Finally! After a year of never-ending stress, everything finally paid off! My comps couldn't have gone any better, even though I balled uncontrollably at the end, I couldn't have been happier. It did kind of bum me out that Tyler couldn't make it (stupid Omaha!), but he was there in spirit!
I got a cake for my big accomplishment! My school loves me!
After teaching summer school, I needed a break! So I joined Tyler's fam on an outing to St. Louis with Mike and Mendy! We went to the Muny to see a fun musical and enjoyed the nice weather! We took some pics while we were waiting for the show to start! Here's a nice one of all the ladies!
So after my Fellows year was officially over...I was on wedding mode for the rest of the summer! I did lots of dress shopping and ton of reception site hunting! I had been itching to get engaged for so long, that I never thought I would have one negative thing to say about wedding planning, but boy was I wrong!!! I WAS STRESSED!! But it all worked out in the end!!! Of course, I can't post any of my dress adventure pics, but here's a sneak preview of our reception site! We rented the Little Theater Ballroom in downtown Kansas City! It is beautiful and in the perfect location!! We are PUMPED!

Please ignore the table decor--I promise our wedding will NOT look like that!
So, that's about all I have for the summer! I have tons of fall things too, but I really need to get off the comp and start my day! I just got over the 24-hour stomach flu and want to enjoy not being sick! (I threw up for the first time in over 5 years the other night--it was bad)
Man, this post took me ALL morning! I don't know how I'm going to keep up with this!
